M 43 C propulsion

The in 1998 introduced M43 engine, having a bore of 430 mm and a stoke of 610 mm, is the most powerful MaK engine available. This type is obtainable as an inline version with 6, 8, 7, and 9 cylinders. The output ranges from 5,400 kW (6M43C) to 9,450 kW (9M43C) at 500 and 514 revolutions per minute.
